Glamis Hall for All once again opened its doors for a fundraising event like never before. The Staff and volunteers of the community centre came together to create a Christmas bazaar, but not any normal Christmas bazaar – oh no! Glamis Hall invited everyone to jump down the rabbit hole and enter the magical world of ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

Wonderland Bazaar

The Wonderland Bazaar took place on Saturday 28th November 2015 and hosted a number of stalls selling everything from Jam tarts and cakes to Christmas crafts.

Glamis Hall was converted from top to tail with decorations transforming the main hall into the Wonderland forest and the day centre in to the Queen of Hearts Castle. Within the forest the Mad Hatter had set up his famous tea-party along with the Hare and invited everyone to drink his special invisabliTEA. All the Glamis Hall volunteers once again got into the spirit of the day and dressed up in some fantastic costumes including Tweedle Dee and Dum, The White Rabbit, The Scary Queen of Hearts and even Alice. “I loved meeting the Mad Hatter… he was so funny. I also enjoyed bouncing really high on the bouncy castle!” Said one member of the public who attended. Gary, one of Glamis Hall’s trustees said “When we took over Glamis Hall our aim was to bring back the whole community to the hall… we have been busy throughout the year creating events for everyone to enjoy. We want Glamis Hall to return to being a place where everyone is proud to come along and support our work within the local community.”

The Wonderland Bazaar raised over £900 towards running costs and we thank everyone for coming along and supporting us. Next year Glamis Hall will be transforming once again into a magical world, where the whole family can come along for free and enjoy the day.
