A Great Family Festival
Written by Gary JohnsonSaturday 25th July 2015 saw the brand new Glamis Hall for All present their first family oriented event. The community came together to celebrate The Family Festival on a glorious sunny day at the heart of the Queensway - Glamis Hall.
The day started early for our staff and volunteers setting everything up and welcoming a number of strange guests including a Pig, Pony and even a few Giraffes to the festival. The doors opened at 11am and the building was alive with children and adults of all ages taking part in a number of activities.
Guests had the opportunity to visit our touring farm, have a bounce on the castle, take on the obstacle course, get creative with our messy crafts, have a tattoo or their face painted and even take part in a race or two, before visiting our special guests from the Northamptonshire Fire Bridge and Police Service.
Many of our younger guests commented about the event including some who said:-
“This is the best day ever!”
“I loved seeing all the animals at the Farm!”
“I wish I could come back and do it all again tomorrow!”
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us throughout the day and a big thank you to all our staff and volunteers who made it possible on the day.
It was great to see people of all ages in back at Glamis Hall.
Keep an eye out for our 2016 FAMILY FESTIVAL date!
